Composer Chen Chung-Sheng has masterfully reimagined this ancient tune, infusing it with the rustic allure of rural landscapes. Employing a variety of playing techniques, the piece personifies the double flutes as a determined rooster and a nimble grasshopper, engaging in playful banter.
